The Nairn shore on 'Guy Fawkes Day' - 5th November 2003
The view over the putting pitch toward Cromarty on the other side of the Moray Firth. You can just see, if you look closely, one of the oil rigs which are often moored just outside the 'Soutars' which protect the mouth of the Cromarty Firth.
Looking from the viewpoint marker over the beach, with the harbour in the mid-distance and the dunes at Findhorn beyond it. The RSPB reserve at Findhorn is to the right of the photograph.
I was trying to get a photograph of a flock of seabirds on the beach, but I'm afraid they're not very distinct! The Black Isle is on the opposite shore of the Moray Firth.
